Ease Motion Sickness !!

Snacking on protein-rich foods can help your condition. Experts suggest keeping some almonds, pistachios and cashews handy while travelling. If you have an empty stomach, you are likely to feel sick. Instead munch on high protein snacks every few hours.

Few Tricks to make the journey a little more comfortable :

1) Its an age-old remedy but ginger can really help with motion sickness. Try purchasing ginger candy or simply pick up a ginger root from your kitchen. it can help with nausea from motion sickness, pregnancy or even an upset stomach. Another option is sipping on some ginger tea.

2) Sometimes motion sickness can be brought on by being in an enclosed space like an air-plane or a bus. Keeping an open window whenever possible can help. The fresh breeze can help ease symptoms and will get rid of any nauseating smells that may be in the car or bus.

3) Avoid eating very heavy or oily foods before travelling. This can initiate an upset stomach. Instead stick to a light meal of crackers, vegetables and non-acidic fruits. Carrying a min-flavoured chewing gum or candy can also help. If you have just eaten, avoid sleeping for at least half an hour, till the food is digested.

4) Where you site while travelling is equally important. Position yourself is such a way that you are not at the rear end of the bus which is the most bumpy. Sitting in the front seat with the windows rolled down can help with motion sickness. Try looking out the forward facing window rather than a side window. if flying, request a seat near the wings which may provide a smoother ride. Similarly, when on sea, ask the captain which part of the boat will be the most comfortable.
